TiVoCID

The TiVoNCID package is another way to display text.

TiVoCID is a alias for ncid, and is included in the NCID TiVo packages. It also requires the OUT2OSD package.
See the INSTALL-TiVo file for install information.

TiVoCID obtains the Caller ID information, and then pipes it to out2osd to display the text.

Requirements

• TiVoCID requires NCID and OUT2OSD
• If you would like to use cidcall, cidalias, and cidupdate, you need to install Perl into /var/hack/bin. You can use Perl for TiVo Series 2
• If you want to use ncidsip, you need: Perl for TiVo Series 2, Net-Pcap, and libpcap
